How Briefant works

Step 1

Capture

Upload a recording, connect a calendar so a bot joins automatically, or send a bot to a live Zoom, Meet, Teams, or GoTo call.

Step 2

Transcribe & capture

Full speech-to-text, plus frames from anything shared on screen.

Step 3

AI extraction

Decisions, action items, and references pulled out and organized.

Step 4

Structured document

A client-ready document, cited back to the source call.

Why teams choose Briefant

Not just a transcription tool — a system built for accuracy, access control, and integration into how your team already works.

Bots join your calls automatically

Connect Google Calendar or Outlook and a bot joins scheduled Zoom, Meet, Teams, or GoTo calls on its own — no one has to remember to record.

Every claim is cited

Decisions and action items link back to the exact timestamp they came from, so a document can be trusted without re-watching the call.

Data isolated at the database layer

Row-level security on Postgres enforces tenant isolation directly in the database, not just in application code.

Real roles, not just an admin toggle

Owner, admin, member, and guest by default, plus fully custom roles with a granular permission catalog across projects, team, settings, billing, and integrations.

Built to be integrated with

A read-only public API, registerable OAuth 2.0 applications, and signed outgoing webhooks for the events that matter — meetings completed, team changes, and more.

Ask your meetings a question

The AI Assistant answers questions across your own processed meetings and drafts follow-up emails, always citing which meeting an answer came from.

Under the hood

The technical details that make the output trustworthy, not just fast.

Speech-to-text transcription

Every recording is transcribed in full, so decisions and commitments made verbally are captured exactly as said.

Screen-frame extraction

When a screen is shared, Briefant pulls out the relevant frames — diagrams, slides, dashboards — and ties them to the point in the transcript where they appeared.

AI-structured extraction

Claude models turn the raw transcript and captured frames into organized decisions, action items, and reference notes, each traceable back to its source.

Isolated per-organization data

Every organization's data is enforced at the database level with row-level security, on Postgres (Supabase) — not just filtered in application code.

Frequently asked questions

What is Briefant?
Briefant turns your recorded client and meeting calls into structured, client-ready documents. It transcribes the call, captures anything shared on screen, and organizes both into decisions, action items, and reference notes — ready in minutes. Unlike generic meeting-notes tools that hand you a raw transcript summary, every claim in a Briefant document is cited back to the exact moment in the call it came from, so you can hand it straight to a client instead of editing it first.
What file formats can I upload?
MP4, MOV, and WebM recordings. Paid plans can also send a notetaker bot to join a live Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or GoTo Meeting call directly.
How is my data kept private from other organizations?
Every organization's data is isolated at the database level using PostgreSQL row-level security, not just filtered in application code — one organization's recordings, transcripts, and documents are never visible to another.
What does the free trial include?
One video, up to 60 minutes, no credit card required.
What formats can I export the finished document in?
DOCX and PDF.
How much does Briefant cost?
Starter is $29/month for 300 processed minutes, Pro is $99/month for 1,200 minutes, and Team is $299/month for 4,000 minutes pooled across up to 5 seats. Pay yearly and get 2 months free ($290, $990 or $2,990 per year); minute allowances stay monthly. See the pricing page for full details.
What happens if I go over my plan's included minutes?
Processing keeps working — it doesn't stop or get rejected. Extra minutes beyond your plan's monthly cap are billed at that plan's overage rate ($0.15/min on Starter, $0.12/min on Pro, $0.10/min on Team) and added as a separate, reviewable invoice, never a silent charge to your card. The Trial plan is the one exception: it's capped at a single 60-minute video with no overage, since it doesn't require a card.
